Stephanie Bogatinoff
is the owner of Costa Concierge Services, and has been in the business of fulfilling customer needs for more than 25 yrs. After selling her business in 2007, (Snelling Personnel Services in Brentwood, TN) she and her husband Pete, moved to Atenas, Costa Rica to live full time where they are enjoying everything that Costa Rica promises. Amanda Bogatinoff
Recently sold everything in the US and moved to Costa Rica because of her love for the country and its people. Her background includes a successful sales career, Sales Administration, and extensive work with several charitable organizations. She is very qualified to assist you with your needs. The Reason Costa Concierge Services Was Formed
Many people come to Costa Rica because they have heard about the beautiful scenery, low cost of living, great year-around weather, and the wonderful people. This is all true. However, moving here and adjusting to various living environments involves much more than that. The Costa Rican culture, business practices, and the laws of the country are much different than what Expats are used to.
Not being able to speak Spanish increases the pressure, and we respect these people enough not to ask them to change their language just to make it easier for us. There are things like setting up a bank account here, which is much different than you are used to; going to the grocery and not finding your favorite items; getting a cell phone on the day you arrive is not going to happen; calling a plumber to come out in the middle of the night when you don’t even know who to call. The list goes on.
Many people learn and work their way through all of this, but there are some who become disgruntled and move back because they can’t handle it. After experiencing all of this and more, it didn’t take long for Stephanie to realize that there was a need for the services provided through Costa Concierge Services with the primary focus on helping people to adjust to Costa Rica living and lifestyles. It would be more likely that those who have left might have stayed if there had been a service like this – Therefore, that is why we are here.
